Oil Shelf Life??

My prior boat has a Mercruiser and I had bought oil for the motor and the drive (4cyl - Alpha one). I sold the boat 2 years ago and just bought another boat with an OMC 4 cyl. and OMC drive. This oil has been siting on my shelf for about two seasons.....I know they are different motors so should i trash the oils and just buy new, or do you think it would be ok to use?
I might give the oils to a friend that has a mercruiser, but I don't want to give him bad oil. BTW, its been stored in my garage out of light and heat.

I say use it. When I find good deals, I stock up on stuff. I found Mercruiser High Performance Gear lube for 4 Dollars a quart at a swap meet. Its reg around 12 at the dealer. Needless to say I bought all 12 quarts. As for oil, I stock up on M1 when I find it cheap and also Merc 25w-50 oil.
