Oil smoke out of 1972 ford 302 valve cover breather

This just started last time out there seems to be oil burn smoke coming out of the valve cover breather after engine runs a little while.

Ayuh,..... Crankcase fumes are pretty common on an old motor,.....

If it's excessive, the rings are probably beat,....

Do a compression test to see how healthy the long block is,.....

There should be a tube on yer vent to direct the fumes into the carb to be burnt,...

Thanks. Will look over motor between the rain drops for tube to carb.

Will also preform compression test. Do you know proper compression #'s or link for them
