I am beginning process of changing out my VRO2 pump. I removed my remote outboard oil tank and emptied it. There is a small amount of debris in the bottom of the tank. I want to clear it and the oil line before running the motor with the new pump (as it?s a high dollar item). What do I use to flush the tank? I got the new filter and a new fuel filter I just don?t know what to use as far as the cleaning agent to clean the inside the tank and oil line.

clean the tank with varsol & rinse it very well with water, then dry it out with compressed air.fill it with GOOD oil, prime the hose without it connected to the vro pump & purge the line for a few pumps.connect it to the pump & give three pumps.it might be smart to run the engine on a 50:1 mix at start-up & put a mark on the oil tank, where the level of fresh oil is,& make sure the motor is consuming oil.

Good idea to run premix as well till you know the new set up is functioning correctly.
