Hello;
I just bought a used 2006 Bass Tracker with a 2006 4-Stroke 25Hp Outboard.
The Oil / Temp alarm intermittently goes off. If I run it a higher speeds and then throttle down, that usually triggers the alarm. The Oil level reads fine and the water comes out of pee hole normally so its not over heating.
The engine manual indicates that at "start up" the alarm will sound for 5 seconds, which it does. Its the "other times" that concerns me. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem may be? I have read that the oil tank must be at "max" level...anything less will trigger the Oil Level alarm.
Thanks!!!
DW
