Re: Oil to fuel mixture

50:1

Fifty measures (gallons, quarts, pints, ML, Oz, etc.) of gas to 1 measure of oil. Most 2 stroke oil has a chart on the back for Gallons of gas to Oz's (or fractions thereof) of oil.

There are 128 fluid Oz per gal.

so say you had 10 gal of gas that would be 1280 oz's divided by 50 = 25.6 Oz of oil. Or do it the other way, say you had 1qt of oil (32oz's) times 50 = 1600 oz, 1600 oz's / 128 = 12.5 gals of gas.

I run middle of the road fuel (87 Octain) in my 82 Johnson 140 at 50:1, most of the time (at least on the gulf coast of Florida), they only sold premium at the dock, since I trailer I always fill on my way at the gas station, much cheaper!

Hope this helps.

Cheers.

emp.
