oil under cowl

i have a 1986 mercury 25 xd why is there oily residue on everything under the motor cover obviously somethings leaking but what can it be

Could be the upper crank seal, or a loose/broken crankcase vent line

ok i was looking at the motor and didnt see either of the things mentioned above were would these two parts be located sorry for the stupidity

There are 2 small rubber recirc lines under carb, check to see it they have came off or split.
