Wondering if anyone might have some insight. 1997 mariner 150 mag 3. Oil alarm is going off but it’s extremely intermittent. Usually have to run it 15 minutes or so before it starts. I have checked oil reservoir is full and checked leads from cap no continuity when alarm is sounding. Checked oil outflow of pump. With linkage arm disconnected at 1500rpm got just shy of 20 cc of oil which is in spect. So it seems injection is working. Tested voltage to cylinder # 4 with dva and voltage in range. I disconnected rotation sensor from warning module while alarm was sounding and it continued (not sure if this would show anything anyway). I have tested power to warning module it’s got 12 volts. The only thing I haven’t done is check rotational sensor for voltage output and drop every two revolutions. I just hate to start buying warning modules and whatever other electronics up the chain chasing a gremlin. Thought I’d lob it out and see if anyone has had similar trouble. Sifting through the World Wide Web I’ve seen everything from stator to switch boxes, warning modules, coils. The fact it seems random and maybe heat related due to the fact takes awhile to get going. The horn comes and goes sometimes stays on. Sometimes will sound when motor isn’t even running after it’s been going off.
