I have a 1973 sea ray traveller with a omc outdrive. It has a 350 chevy in it.I would usually use a sae 30 on my 350 chevy. But i`m thinking to switch to synthetic what shouild i use or should i just stay on a sae 30.Thanks for the help happy boating. thanks Rob

Ayuh,...

Oil is a Very personal Choice, that leads to Major Arguements on forums....

Basically,... Your motor will run Just Fine, with a steady diet of Any oil you want to use.....
So long as it's kept Fresh,+ Clean.....

Personally,..... I use Mobil 1, 15W-50.....

Thanks for the help.but a 2nd problem has come on board getting fuel in my oil it was fine when i put away for the winter and the fuel pump is fine it was check last year any ideas.thanks

I'm with Bondo on the oil. As for fuel in the oil I'd start taking a hard look at the carb.

Or the fuel pump. Any gas in that clear yellow hose going to the carb from the fuel pump? The fuel pump can also fail where it will allow fuel to go directly into the crankcase.
