Re: oil

A search will bring you thousands of opinions on this subject. Everything from the difference is the bottle to they are both sludge in a jug and people would use neither. Personally my favorite brand is whatever is TCW3 rated and cheapest at the time.

Re: oil

In theory the synthetic outboard oils lubricate better, smoke less, create less carbon. I have used the Pennzoil 100% Synthetic Outboard motor oil for several years and there is very little smoke or carbon, but the "better lubrication" is hard to prove. Most any TCW3 rated oils are probably just fine, but lots of opinions on the "oil" subject. Good Luck!

The best answer, and most important answer is "about 6 bucks a gallon"
