Hi guys,
is there a Honda- Pro in here whos familiar with the internals of the oilpump that powers the trimcylinder in a power trim unit of a Honda BF45? I was stupid enough to take it apart and almost immediatly lost one of those little steel balls which are used as valves- if your shop-floors look only halfway as mine you know that its senseless to search for it...... ok, but this is not really my problem:
There are three valves inside the pump. These valves use 2 different sizes of steel balls and also two different types of springs. I was able to figure out where to put the different sized balls using the parts list. Finding out where to put which spring is impossible with that method. Two springs out of three have less pressure meaning they have less coils but the remaining spring is much stronger since it has more coils. Now: On which valve do I have to re-install that stronger spring?
Its very important for me to find out because in the process of taking apart the unit I damaged a lot of things and it was a P.I.T.A to repair everything: Glueing back together the broken parts of the lower plastic bearing carrier of the electromotor, drilling out all 4 bolts and re-cutting the threads, glueing back in one of those strong magnets in the motorhousing and so on- but if you ever looked up the prices for these parts you know why I did it! I´m halfway confident that everything will work out but I plan to use some sealing compound when putting everything back together and therefore it would be nice if I could do it correctly right in the first try- not too much fun to take it apart again when those compounds have dried.......
Any help would be great!
