OK, Don got some #s and pic

I couldn't get the merc eng. tag# being it was like 10* out and the guy didn't cover the boat so it's got snow in it and the engine is crammed in this 21'er. But I have the Merc# thats on the transom gimble which are 5312170 What drive is it? 1979 260, it has the eye cover like an MC-1 But has external trim senders like the alpha. see pic. I'm asuming he's right about it being a 350 if it's a 260. thanks for any info drive/ratio? thanks picture coming right up, need to resize it

It's a 260 drive. (MC-1) They do have external sender and limit switch on the 1978 to 1982 1 drives.

Doesnt look like my #1 service man. covers it. no model 260 in it.

Duh!!!! The #1 manual goes from 63 to 73, that's a 79. You need manual #4 for the drives, #3 for the engine.

From the picture it looks like it has a 1984 or newer lower unit that has the squared off cavatation plate instead of the rounded one. JMO!!
