!. First of course is forgetting to put the plug in after my son told me to at my camp..I said i will at the ramp. got done parking the truck and was talking to some fellow when son comes running up to inform me that boat is sinking. It turned out ok though, put the plug in and bailed her out. Of course i had to hear "I told you to put the plug in" from my son. <br /><br />2. Took boat out fishing on the river, was about 2.5 miles downriver and knew battery was getting weak so told myself not to shut motor off again. had to pee so pulled into shore and promptly killed motor and raised it up. Knew right away my mistake. wouldn't turn over and almost dark so no boats on the river, so I start rowing upriver. got about 1/2 mile after an hour before someone came along and towed me in. I found out later that my motor can also be pull started..Duh!<br /><br />3. This one isn't funny, It happened 3 weeks ago. we had just launched boat and were getting ready to take off when offf to my left i saw about a 24' boat do a uturn in probably 3' of water like his tail was on fire. It swamped and sank a little 10' or so boat with a small o/b on it and one guy. turns out the bigger boat had just towed in the little boat and was leaving. They knew what they had did but took off anyhow. a few minutes later they came back, (probably got rid of the beer and switched drivers), they pull up next to where the boat sank and one guy holding a rope pinched his nose shut and leapt into the unknown depths to pull the boat back up. Imagine his surprise when the water barely came up to his waist. That was the only funny part of the whole thing. Anyholater that day when we returned we saw the the guy and his friend trying to start the motor and they did get it running.
