ok i replaced the water pump new housing new gaskets and turned her over i am getting water out the outlit now but can anyone tell me how much water should be coming out is it possable for the pump to only work a little? all so does anyone else have this same motor it's a 1990 mariner 60 hp? were the water comes out is not like a mercury were its like it's peeing a nice stream mine comes out into theeas little rectangle holes on the back of the motor downwardes hiting the bottom of the rectangle and then out so i cant really tell how much water is coming out but there wasint any before and after the pump rebuild there is. is there anyone who has this motor and can tell me how there water comes out and if my motor is getting cooled properly thanks.
i'll be taken her out on the lake tommorow so i can give her some throttle and see how she runs !!!! kind of hard to throttale up when your at home in the driveway with the muffs on or in a barrel can't wait to drive her it's my first boat and i want to make sure everything is all set before i get it out on the water.
