Need to replace prop. Have a Merc 1971 Model 1350 135hp. I looked at the existing prop and could not find any marks (none on body or exhaust)....I have not taken it off yet but I dont know the history of it so it may or may not be the correct pitch / diameter. With that being said- I can only get about 28mph on WOT at about 3200RPM.

16' Trihull Glastron....Prop looks like I used it to edge my driveway.

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance!!!!

I should have clarified....I'm overloaded with the whole pitch, blade choices......boat has no water inside.....

Not knowing what your current prop is , makes it hard to know where to start man . I would be speaking out of school if I tried to give you any advice anyway . This link is a good read when it comes to props though . Thought I would throw it at ya . Maybe it will be some help .

At 3200 RPM I suspect you have more than a prop problem. You need to make sure the engine is running on all cylinders and is tuned properly. A prop cannot compensate for that. Make sure you are not lugging several hundred pounds of water soaked foam around. You can measure the diameter of the prop (blade tip to center of drive shaft multiplied by 2 = diameter) but you cannot measure pitch.
