The escort vehicles were confused, the driver was confused and it took some time to get that monster backed out into the road.

Whats even more crazy is that the wind can crank three of those bad boys pretty fast! Never seen one of em down on the ground like that to get an actual grasp of just how big they are.

i passed one on the interstate last week. It didn't seem as big, becasue i was on the highway. But i guess there are different sizes.

even if he went into the right truck stop, he would still have trouble getting to a fuel pump. Ain't nothin made for a 175 ft long truck to drive thru it.

Confused, yes.
They dont take those in truck stops or anything else on purpose. They drop them and bobtail to get fuel and such. Every once in a while you will see a couple of them parked off the to the side of the road.
I loved pulling heavy haul loads, good money and you can only travel in the day time. :D

I'm a little confused too! Do you know for sure he simply "made a wrong turn" into a parking lot?

WOW, super long load.
And to think I hated getting stuck pulling a load of power poles through a built up area like that, now it does not seem that bad.

I talked with the driver who knew it was wrong but what following his escort who made the first mistake so he followed along

All I did was ask him why he was parked there .......... and he answered!

Then that was his mistake he should have known better escort or not it was ultimately his fault if he hit something.

We have a business here in Colorado that manufactures Wind Turbines, tower, blades and all, They are enormous and here usually they haul them in sets of three, kinda rare that you see a single here. If you think it looks weird seeing a 180' truck try imagining what it takes to hang those beasts to a 300' tower!

It might be time to have a little chat with the escort and explain a little thing about trucking.

Give me 60 acres and I will turn this truck around:D

You know I had heard somewhere that the SR71 while at full speed (16 gazillion miles an hour or something) takes three states to turn around.......This truck may need more!!!:D

A little off topic, but I see those things stacked on the top of ships travelling the St. Lawrence and they even look big on a 700' ship.

I think they make those blades around here somewhere, I see them on trucks but they don't put them ON a trailer, they attach wheels to the back of the blade and the front and hook on to it.
