old 1969 20hp question

hey guys i been considering pulling my old 1969 20hp johnson out of storage. last time it ran was about 8 years ago and it did alright. we were premixing it 40:1 in the tank. it had a new fly wheel, waterpump, and plugs done before i put it in storage. so what should i look at replacing to run it again and also, what is the correct mix on the motor. i might consider selling it also.

well the correct mixture is 50:1, 87 octane, TC-W3 outboard oil.

it will need a new water pump impeller, at the least. that one is dried up and will come apart, clogging the water system.

i figured it was prolly 50:1.... i will look into getting this little motor running i have an old cypress hull i am thinking of putting it on

Wow!! an OLD '69 20hp Huh!!? Heck, that was the year I graduated high school. Ain't old to ME!!!

sorry guys i didnt mean to offend you lol it is old to me i was born in 1987 i been having the motor since like 98 ran it for a few years and then i got a 40hp for my 1969 13ft boston whaler then sold the whaler and the 40 for a jet ski( stupidest thing i ever done) and now sold both of the skis. but i miss having a smaller boat so that i can go play in the marsh like i use to. since i have got the party barge i cant do that anymore.
