Howdy guys/gals...During my restore project, I noticed inside the boat, all the way towards the bow/nose where the two side pieces meet, there is a slight gap, that looks to have been previously filled with some sort of caulking... obviously it is shredding, peeling, flaking...the whole bit...
I plan on removing all of it... Is there a recommended sealant I should use?
Is it necessary?
I fear that someone had to put that there to prevent some seepage or leaking.
