i have an older outboard evinrude that says 18 horse. it is blue with words fast trim. can anyone identify the year and how much it may be worth?

Howdy, Fatts.<br /><br />Welcome to iboats. :) <br /><br />My guess is that it says Fast Twin, but we need the model number to give you an accurate answer.<br /><br />The model number will be on a plate on the mounting clamp.

That's a 1959 18hp, Fatts.<br /><br />Fuel mix should be 24:1 (1 qt TC-W3 outboard oil to 6 gal unleaded regular gas).<br /><br />Spark plugs are Champion J4C gapped at .030".<br /><br />Set the points at .020".<br /><br />Good engine. Good luck. :)

thanks for the info wrote it down. now also i had an older gent work on this motor and he said he but in a mixing valve for the fuel mix connection for a new gas tank do you know anything about this ?
