Dose anyone know a site that I can find parts for an old evenrude model # FD-22E roughly a 1968 it is either a 20 hp as the model no. says, or a 25 hp as the coweling says.

Thank you

P.S No I'am not going to try to make a 40 hp out of it:D

Re: Old Evenrude motor

An FD-22E is a 1968 Johnson 20hp motor. There are still quite a few parts available for it, according to shop.evinrude.com, but the parts that would make me a bit nervous, are the water pump impeller and housing assembly. They are now classified as "limited availability." If you want to keep yours running for awhile, I would buy a few impellers and keep them in your own parts stock. Same thing with the housng

The impellers are currently about $19.00 each, so buying a few wouldn't "hurt" too badly. The housing assemblies are about $60 each, so buying a couple would be a bit more, but not "out the box."

Re: Old Evenrude motor

There are plenty of aftermarket impellers right here at iboats. But the housing?? That's why I am hoarding the extra one that I have.

The hoods are interchangeable, so somebody must have figured he could "soup up" his motor by changing hoods.
