Re: old evinrude & clinton outboards
Welcome to Iboats, Ryan.

Clinton J9 1000 is a 1968 air cooled Clinton 5hp outboard. The original mix is 16:1 with TC oil (air cooled two-stroke oil, like chain-saw engine oil) but some say 32:1 is safe now with todays oils.

Evinrude Fleetwin 7512 is a 1953 7.5hp engine. It's displacement is 12.40 cubic inches, and it makes it's 7.5hp at 4000 RPM. It takes a Champion J6C spark plug gapped at .030". It's fuel

il ratio is 24:1 87 octane gas to TCW-3 rated outboard oil.
Lots of parts are still being made for the Fleetwin. One caveat with that engine - if you abuse it by reving it in neutral, overrevving the engine, or being lax about the fuel/oil mix it has a habit of throwing a connecting rod which destroys the engine. Great outboard otherwise though.

Good luck!
