The model number is 4146. It's a 1936 1.5hp outboard. I'd run that one at 16:1, but some run them at 24:1.

www.aomci.org, and ask questions in their Ask A Member message area. Lots of folks over there with experience with those older engines. They also have a free classified ad section where you can ask for needed parts. It's an amazing site, full of people who love to help with such antiques.
I have an old single cylinder Evinrude and need any info that would help me with ID, fuel ratio, etc.. The serial # is 4146-02569. Not sure if the following is model # or not 181786 (stamped on cylinder). Thanks in advance!
