I have just purchased a non-running Evinrude o/b, just because it looked like the old British Seagull i used to run as a kid!
I would have thought this one is probably 1.5/2 H.P. it is 37ins long and the tear drop tank, mounted on the top is 12ins long. 2 blade prop.
It has a large lever just under the tank that slides horizontally to marks on the tank that say, slow, start, fast.
A tiny carb is mounted to the front of the engine, it has 2 levers on it (primer, choke?)
single cylinder, cracked on bottom edge.
The only marks on it are the serial# 4412-04529, on a small plate on the transom mount, and the # 200577 cast into the side of the engine. Sorry no other clues.............Can you I.D. and advise on where to start looking for a new cylinder block, or is it possible to weld and rebore?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
