One of my gas tanks has about 3-4 gallons of some really old gas. The tank is a 26 gallon tank and one person told me to throw some Stabil in and top it off and call it good. Good idea, or do I need to cyphen it out and get rid of it?
I think I would try to siphon it out (Mix it with the gas in your cars tank and burn it off that way.) Failing that, I would fill the tank with fresh gas and add some stabilizer for good measure.
get rid of it, that gas could cause you more probs. and cost you more time in the future, then just getting it out. Old gas can turn into a sludge that will clog up everything in your carbs.
