I know someone on this forum knows how I can make or where I can buy a adapter to replace the lower unit plug so I can pressure test to see if my seal repair job is ok and if my other motor needs seals. I have a low air pump but can't find a suitable adpter at my local Ace hardware. Would someone out their please help. Thank you riverrat 2

I use the adapter which comes with the lower unit oil changing kit, which screws into the lower unit, and adapt it to a pump which is normally used to bleed hydraulic brakes. But you can also buy purpose made, and expensive, pressure and vacuum testers.

Soling Sailor; I have a small air pump and I thought of buying a oil pump to fill my motors anyway, I was just hoping I could buy just that part and jerry rig the rest. But I think I will go with your advice and buy the pump with the part already there. I'll have to figure out how to do it so it will be easy to change from pressure testing to what it was intended for. Thanks again, riverrat 2

old johnson... why not just run it and recheck your oil for water contamination.

if none shows up .... well no neeed to pressure test it !
