Old Mercury Info - Please

I have just bought a old 100Hp Mercury outboard. It seems to me if the sn is : 1462042 is this correct the carbs seems incomplete? Their partnr on them is KA16AT... could someone please e-mail me a pic from a engine or mabe from a service manual just so that I can see what is missing? Could someone also help on the yearmodel?

It seems to me if the sn is : 1462042" <br /><br />That serial number does not reflect a 100HP engine.<br />You can check it here. your motor <br />Scoll down to the first 85 listing.<br /><br />850 (85,0) 1460999 - 1648887 1963 6 cyl <br />HP Serial number yr #of cyls.<br /><br />As you can see, it seems to be a 85HP motor from the 1963 time frame.
