Good day to all
Is there a manufacturer that makes or even better a stock tach that would work on my 57 Twins.
My hopes is to find 2 that have a somewhat era correct face and be 2" maximum as well as being a indash mounted.

I want each to be mounted in the center hole of my bezels.

You will be lucky to find any tach at all for those motors. They are no longer made, except for the Tiny Tach digital ones that take an inductive signal from a spark plug wire. If you do find an old airguide or something, be aware that many of them are useless without the correct transmitter to go with them. OMC magneto tachs didn't require a transmitter.

I guess there once was a 2" tach, but they will be rare now. You do know the hole in the plate is for an ammeter, right?

I have never seen a tach for dual coil magneto systems and have done this boating stuff way to long.

I did not know about the ammeter nor did I know about the tach which makes Iboats the first stop in anything to do about boats.

The wealth of information, knowledge that can be tap into here is priceless.

I guess I will look into the ammeters and I am disapointed about the tachs senario. It was more for cosmetics.

Do you have a clue what those round medallions in the plates are worth? Whatever you do, Don't toss them!!!!

Fatzbullet--heck yes there were tachometers made for them.
