I bought an old sears ted williams today. NO spark and the hose running from the fuel pump to the carb. The numbers or as such: the model is a 574.59520, and the serial number is 67600710-10112. How hard is it going to be finding parts and some general info would be appreciated...

That's a 1967 7.5 hp, made by McCulloch. Parts can be hard to come by for that outboard, depending on what they are.

You can check www.searspartsdirect.com with your model number. They should have exploded views of all parts of your outboard. They may have some parts available, but probably not many. At the moment, the site seems to be down, so I can't tell you much about it.

The hose is no biggie. Just use fuel line from the auto parts store in the appropriate size.

The ignition is another matter. www.laingsoutboards.com lists points, condensers, and coils for that engine, so you're covered there.

Getting those old motors back in shape is always interesting. Best of luck to you.
