I have a 1974 115 Evirude with manual shift. The control box is a old Johnson control box. It doesn't have a plug to hook a tach to it. The wiring coming from the engine has a red plug. I purchase a old Teleflex tach. On the back of the tach it shows (ign,send, and grn.) I know the ign goes to the purple wire and the send goes to the gray wire and the grn goes to ground. It has a selector on the back which goes to 12 pole. But it still don't work. <br /><br />My question is, Do I suppose to hook a + and - wire somewhere to give it power.<br /><br />riverrat@inteliport.com
