Older 15 Horse Johnson

[15 Horse Johnson]

Pre-1992 outboard 2 cycle. Only number I found was 309738-2. Trying to find parts. My prop and the shaft it fits on just came off? Should I get lower unit or can I get replacement prts. Is this number the model ?

I guess that would depend on what caused it to fall apart.If you have to buy a whole bumch of new parts a good used gearcase might be worth the money If the prop and prop shaft fell out something pretty major is probably going on.

There is a bracket that held the whole assembly on. It had two screws and the metal cracked around each screw. My issue is finding the model # of the motor so I can search for parts. I have found three numbers but not the model number?

Look for a soft plug(a quarter sized disc) on the power head with numbers on it.
