Hey I need some help once again. I have older boat gauges in the 1986 StarCraft islander. I see. G P S on the back I am assuming G is ground. P would be power / accc. S would be sender. I want to have all the lights on the gauges on when motor is running. Thanks in advance.

Check the back of the gauge again. If it has an internal light there would typically be a terminal labeled "L". If not, and you are sure the gauge actually does have a light, then anytime there is 12 volts on the "P" terminal, the gauge and the light would be active. So anytime the key is in the RUN position the light would be on whether or not the engine is running.
