Older Engine Compatable with Drive? Controls?

Hello,

Due to a seized block, I am thinking of buying a complete drop in I found on Craigslist. I have a 1994 350 MAG with a Gen II Alpha One Drive. The engine I found is a rebuilt 1985 350. The difference is the two part real main seal, and I was told that the coupling is different.

Can I use the coupling off my old motor? What other issues will I have? Is this a dumb thing to do?

Ayuh,... A 94 won't have Vortec Heads, they didn't come out til 96...

You need a motor from 1987 or Newer to match up...
