I have an 88 mx185 with a 1990 yamaha 200. Currently running a Precision 22p prop. My problem is that ive tried a tempest 25p and just cannot get more than 5000 rpms and the holeshot is horrible. With the 22p, 3 people, both livewells full I get 5200 rpms. Talked to a man with an 89 mx185 with an evinrude 150 and hes ran 70mph with a 27p omc raker. 65mph is my goal and with the tempest I get 55-58 mph, but holeshot is bad. There really arent a lot of people around who know much about Nitros before the Tracker buyout. I live in longview texas which is where my boat was built. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated.
