hey guys, looking for some help. i have restored a 1974 Thompson 18' with an OMC 120 hp i/o. finished it a couple weeks ago and everthing has been working fine until last night.
got to the dock to take it out and the power trim wouldnt raise, tried pklaying with the wires but boats were backing up at the public dock. ended up trailering it home that way and miraculasly made it without touching the whole way...whew.
when i got home i took of the cover for the external gear portion and a watery, milky, oily substance poured out. would water getting in there make it stop working? anyone have any experience with this issue? appreciate the help, you guys were great during my resto!
