have a 99 200hp opti max...have had problem for two years,,boggs down when trying to go full throtle,,,sometimes it goes,,sometimes it boggs for 10 or 20 seconds then goes,,,most of the time have to return to nuetral then put throtle down again...anyway finally discovered problem and thought i would share the fix in case anyone has similar problem...40psi check valve on return fuel line between fuel rail and vst was bad...was opening at 15 to 20psi and not allowing fuel to have adequate pressure,,funny thing is that the valve is not on any diagrams of this motor,,,but is listed in parts section...
