Older Power Trim control location. Where is yours?

Installing an older power trim system with the separate 3 button control panel. Wondering what location is favored by others.

Prior motors had the PTT controls as part of the control box. Not sure where I should best mount this separate panel.

a) on the dash to the right of the steering wheel
b) on the dash to the left of the steering wheel
c) beside the control box
d) somewhere else (please explain)

Should mention this is an outboard motor with steering and controls on the starboard side.

starboard side of steering wheel, so no one accidentally hits it. they were usually dash mount.
