I've got the older style power trim/tilt system on my 1978 merc 500.. I was wondering if the reverse valve on the bottom of the pump should be tight or should I loosen it when it in normal operation ?? The unit seems to work the same either way.. What's this valve used for anyway ??<br /><br />Vas
