Re: Olive green paint

I looked and looked for the very same thing and had quite a time finding what I wanted. I finally contacted a local marina that was a Fisher boat dealer. They were able to get me factory flat green paint. Not cheap at $36/quart, but it was the only thing I could find.

Check with a local paint supply store like Sherwin Williams, you can buy the paint from them and they will add the flattening agent.
They supply many types of very good industrial paints, many are re-labeled and sold under other names.

Re: Olive green paint

I have an account at our local Sherwin Williams so I'll check them out.
I googled the Parker duck boat paint but can't find any info except what's on Cabela's, which doesn't tell me much, other than the colors available. By the way it comes in the right colors.
I'm off to SW to see what they have...thanks for the ideas. I am very surprised at how tough this item is to find. Chief ;)

Re: Olive green paint

I ordered Parker duck boat paint from Cabela's. It's an oil based marine paint that I can thin and therefore spray. It is $35 a gallon w/shipping...Thanks, Chief ;)

Wish I had found that when I was looking. I'll have to remember it if I ever need to do it again.

I'll let you know how it works. They have 3 colors of duckboat paint so you could do a camo pattern if you want. You can brush roll and spray, and it's oilbased so no nasty solvents. We'll see. Chief ;)
