Hope somebody can help me out. I have a 1989 OMC sea drive v-4 115hp. Once I get it started and go out for a good run and the engine is hot. It will die. Sometimes it will start right up, but when I put it into gear it dies again. Other times I will be going thru the harbor at 5mph and just die. If I do get started again it idles rough like it running on 3 cylinders. I replaced the power pack. Rebuilt carbs, new impellar, pulled heads to de-carb. Funny thing.. When I get the thing home..it fires right up.. Will, a bad stator assembly or timing senor assemble do that???? What should I look for? Im going to pull the flywheel off to see if I find anything. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Or Imma just bring some tools to drop the motor where it stopped. Then buy a 4 stroke. Thank you
