hi all,
So picked up a 1988 four winns with an OMC 3.0 in the back...the guy I got it from left the boat collect snow, ice, water and so 2 drive solenoids and the starter assist solenoid were sitting wet for a bit...
all 3 click...... nothing else happens
for fun did a voltage check on at least one of the lift solenoids...to (what should have been) NOT hot connection to the trim pump (and grounded the other end of my voltmeter) to the drive...was passing 13 volts to the drive (without the trim button pressed). UGH I am assuming this should not be. for fun also ...took the other solenoid for the drive apart and found it burned...slightly rusted inside.
good chance all 3 need to be replaced? I @$@#@# hate dealing with electrical issues
thanks, john
