Greetings... I recently picked up a non-running bayliner capri w/OMC 2.3 (Ford) engine.. got it running in the driveway and had earmuffs on it to keep it cool...

Looking at the engine from inside the boat (facing aft?), the exhaust is on my left goes back, then up, then back, etc.. after running my engine, I get some steam from under this area and have also noticed a small open tube sticking out of the block under the exhaust system that isnt connected to anything.. should it be? It seems to leak some water into the engine compartment.. can anyone post a pic of this on a "working" boat?

is the tube yellow? these are the block and exaust manifold drains the brass things they go to are you're drains there is probally sand blocking them from sealing. withe engine running on hose open them up and let it flush then tighten them up again should stop the dribble.
