Re: Omc 2.3 Wot

Just use it as if there is an artificial WOT position just before the actual end of the throttle travel.

Some carbs can actually let the butterfly throttle plates move past center and this can throttle back the flow.

Some carbs can actually flow better with a slight angle on the butterfly throttle plates.

The condition you describe could indicate a cable adjustment is needed, but with no other symptoms I would just operate it like that and have fun.

BTW My boat's throttle does nothing the last inch or so of lever travel.

what are you saying is WOT? when the lever is full forward, or when the throttle blades are open perfect,? not always the same.

Re: Omc 2.3 Wot

My bought used 1988 boat, with a new helm control, which didn't match the i/o, required me to make and bolt on a throttle stop, for the carb.
