Ive got the boat running great out of the water.
Now ive changed the spark plugs, wires, rotor, cap and a electronic ignition.
I also replaced my shift assist module with the new one from cdi.

Engine start great now but wont idle.
When you loose the gas handle it dies.

Idle was good when i takes it out of the water.

Can dit be caused because i may stil have a external resistor wire on the flame trower coil ?

I cant check the timing becuase it wont stay at idle.

Can i test the being of an eventually external resistor by check the + and - side of the coil with a volt meter ?
What should the voltage be at least with running motor ?

Did you re-set your timing to specs with a timing light after installing the electronic conversion?

Take it out of the water.

Or, you might try turning the distributor a little and see if you can get it to idle, then set the timing to specs.

Sorry for my sloppy English, i meant :

When the boat was in the water with the old setup, i idles good.
Turning the distributor sounds like a good plan, i will do that.

Make sure you set your timing with the jumper installed according to your manual.
