omc 3.0 won't dies at high speed

88 bayliner starts and runs fine at low speed, increase throttle above half or where boat is plowing water and the engine just stalls, back off of the throttle and it runs fine, no misses or anything.

I suspect you are talking about a 3.0 sterndrive motor. Or is it a 3.0 outboard?

Yes it is a stearn drive when I posted, as it was my first time it went to the wrong heading and I found I could not change it
