OMC 350 WATER PUMP

It's time to replace the Water pump on my 5.7 OMC. Is there a defrence in a Marine and a Auto water pump on the 5.7 ? Anyone have a Part # for it ? Unless you have a closed cooling system, yes it's different. It's made to withstand the rigors of a corrosive environment. You might want to check iboats for availabity.<br /><br />Why do you think you need to replace it. I still have the original WP on my well used 1975 OMC 302 ford. I just recently converted to closed system but I even used mine in the ocean occasionally prior to that

hello<br /> do you need a seawater pump or a circulating water pump? the marine circ pumps have bi-directional brass impellers and stainless back plates. you can still get one at most NAPA stores or check here on iboats.<br /> good luck and keep posting

I think I need a circulating water pump. It is not a colsed system. I am hopping to take it to the gulf some time next year but thats just going to be a one time deal. I know it's going bad becouse I broke a belt and while replacing it I noticed that it was leaking from the bottom of the water pump and it looks like it's been doing that for a while ... <br /><br />Nathan <br />Austin Tx
