omc 3868156 sending unit

Hi,
I have 1995 omc 3868156, 1.66 outdrive.
From my understanding it is similar to Volvo SX, but which one? SX-M or SX-A?

My Trim gauge is only moving 1/4 on the full range of the drive going up and down so I'm thinking of replacing a sending unit.
I wonder which part fits, 22005045 or 3849411, also, any tricks on replacing it and making the job easy(er)?

My 95 Cobra OMC sending unit had the part number on the side. Pull it out and see if you can see the part number. Mine was a two wire unit that was superceded by a newer number (3594989).
