Hi all I have searched this site for hours upon hours trying to find my answer and have not found it so please forgive me if perhaps I did over look it. First off the boat is a 1981 Rinker with a OMC 140 3L v4 I/O. A little background, This year we had the motor professionally rebuilt by a highly recommended marina, Carb also completely redone, brand new fuel pump, eliminated the anti-siphon valve, replaced the fuel line. The boat runs great for the first while this could be any where from 3-6 hours at a time and then it decides to die, sometimes at trolling RPM's and sometimes at WOT. After it stalls it will not stay running again unless we use an external tank eliminating the boats tank this is why we eliminated the anti-siphon valve and tested the tank. Also the tube that screws into the top of the tank is clear of all obstructions. We are dumbfounded on this one as are 2 marinas around here seeing as everything is brand new and it never happens at the same time or RPM. Are there baffles in the gas tank that could be preventing gas from getting to the pickup after it reaches a certain level? Any help on this situation would be greatly appreciate. Thank you for taking the time to read through this long winded post.
