(NOTE: Please delete as I have a similar question a few years back that I will review... my apologies) - (I would delete this post but not sure how)

Howdy folks, I have an 88 Sea Swirl... it has the OMC 4.3L engine... (guessing a Chevy engine Ford??).... anyways, the boat has two batteries... one is a deep cycle Marine, and the other appears to be like a car battery...

Anyways, I want to replace both as they are pretty much the ones that came with the boat when I bought it a few years back... so I'm not sure they are even really the correct batteries... but, they "worked" ...

I have been trying to figure out the recommended battery for that engine... as I just want to try and ensure I get the right batteries in it.

My OMC manual did not show the correct battery - was very vague, something about referring to engine manufacturer specs....

All that to say, I have two questions I'm hoping someone a lot smarter than me can help with:

1.) Should I buy TWO Marine/Deep Cycle batteries to replace the one Marine and One car battery (Perk 1 and P2)?

2.) What battery SIZE/SPECs should I get? My marina sells G24 and G27 Marine... and is suggesting those.

Thanks folks, for any and all advice/suggestions.

Ron F.
