Had a blast at the lake yesterday....but

Got to the lake, launched, started right up and off we went. Ran the boat for 15 minutes and beached it. Went back 10 minutes later to take it out tubing and it wouldnt start. I shot some starting fluid and still nothing. Checked for spark and had good spark...Waited and waited...I finally threw the throttle Wide Open (engine off) and a misty fog came out of carb. Shot some more fluid in and bam...started right up. Ran it a few minutes on the water turned off and started right back up. Ran it for an hour or so went back to the beach, it sat for twenty or thirty minutes, and same thing, wouldnt start until I put the throttle wide open for a minute or two...this happend all day...

Do I have a carb problem? Is it getting flooded? Vacuum problem?

Yes, yes, no.

Welcome to the world of dribbling carbs, that all manufacturers say can't happen. Yeah, right!!!!:rolleyes::mad::D

There are 2 ways around the problem. First way is do what I did (read my signature line).

Second ways is to develop a starting technique. Usually just cracking open the throttle a little helps, but you'll still have to crank the thing for quite a while before it fires up.
