omc 400 shifter?

i have the trim wires hooked up . however this wire located on the back of the unit (facing stern) is not connected. what does this wire goto. ? cannot find anything on it for schematics at all.

Neutral start switch? Put a meter on them in continuity and shift from fed to n to rev and see if it changes
