OMC 5.0L problems

I understand the 5.0L Cobra is a chevy 305 with minor changes. Can you rebuild it with standard chevy pistons and rings?

From what I understand yes it can. only things you need marine in the internals is head gaskets and cam. If im wrong or missed something someone will be along to scream at me, lol. Good luck with you project.
